Missions :
The Door Person creates exceptional first and last impressions by warmly welcoming guests, assisting with luggage and transportation needs, and providing knowledgeable guidance about the hotel and destination. Through personalized service, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality, this role ensures a seamless guest experience that reflects the ultra-luxury standards of The Vineta Hotel.
Profile :
Maintain a straight and alert position at the hotel entrance, open doors for arriving and departing guests while offering a warm welcome to create an unsurpassed experience for our guests.
Walk guests and visitors to and from their vehicles, opening and closing of vehicle doors and offering to assist with their luggage and packages.
Offer guests information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions. Answer inquiries and provide recommendations as needed in a prompt and courteous manner.
Assist with delivering items such as room service orders, packages, or other guest requests promptly and courteously, ensuring a high standard of service.
Ensure the lobby and main entrance are clean and always organized. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
Monitor the premises for any unusual activity and report concerns to management, ensuring the safety and security of guests and their belongings.
Collaborate with front desk hoteliers and other departments to ensure a seamless guest service.
Build rapport with guests, anticipating their needs and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.
Efficiently manage time to prioritize tasks and ensure timely service to our guests.
Be sensitive and understanding of diverse cultures and backgrounds, enhancing guest interactions.
Maintain high standards of Guest Services as established by the Managing Director.
Actively demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication, respect, sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy and humility.
Ensure that proper procedures for dealing with guest illness or injury, system failures, fire alarms, robbery, security incidents and other emergencies are followed. Report unsafe conditions, as appropriate.
Build morale and spirit, interact positively with hoteliers and guests, and take action to resolve problems to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
Ensure that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and reflect a professional image for our guests.
Creatively execute strategies and drive results; originate and invent new ways to create unparalleled experiences for our guests and team members.
What you bring:
Minimum 2 years of previous work experience in a similar capacity within the luxury hospitality industry.
Fluent in English; other languages considered an asset.
Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand continuously and perform job functions during shift.
Must be able to reach, stooping, kneeling, twisting, bending, balancing, lifting, pushing, pulling, and transporting various objects weighing up to 75 lbs. repeatedly during a shift.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
