Missions :
As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in curating an immaculate and inviting atmosphere throughout the hotel. This role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction are maintained in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, high-end environment.
Profile :
Implement cleaning protocols and uphold rigorous quality control standards through detailed daily inspections of guest rooms, suites, and public areas, ensuring compliance with The Vineta's expectations. Participates in cleaning work as required by the department.
Ensure that equipment is maintained and checked for proper functioning in collaboration with the Engineering department.
Conduct onboarding and ongoing training in cleaning techniques, safety procedures and luxury service standards.
Address and resolve any cleanliness or maintenance issues promptly.
Oversee inventory management of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment, ensuring high-quality products are always used correctly and available in alignment with the hotel’s sustainability initiatives and adherence to financial goals while maintaining luxury standards.
Maintain good relations and communicates effectively with all departments within the hotel to create an atmosphere conducive to teamwork. Work closely with the Front Office, Maintenance, and Food and Beverage to coordinate implementation of rooms, as well as cleaning schedules for special events and high-traffic areas.
Ensure timely completion of rooms, assignments, cleaning schedules and task prioritization.
Ensure that all housekeeping practices adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Conduct regular training on safety protocols and emergency procedures for housekeeping hoteliers.
Ensure the adoption of the correct professional gestures and the wearing of appropriate clothing/uniform/PPE for the type of cleaning to be conducted.
Be a source of proposals for improving the operation of the department, and ensures energy savings, recycling, and waste sorting.
Function as a liaison between guests and housekeeping, promptly addressing inquiries and concerns to exceed guest expectations. Monitor guest feedback related to housekeeping services and implement improvements based on insights gained.Support the Housekeeping Manager in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff as well as budget and cost control initiatives.
Assist in performance feedback, disciplinary actions and staff development.
Coordinate with vendors and procurement to ensure timely restocking of supplies.
Assist in scheduling staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage while controlling labor costs.
Ensure that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and reflect a professional image for our guests.
What you bring :
Minimum 3 years of work experience in a similar capacity with an understanding of luxury hotel standards of service.
2 years in a supervisory role preferably.
High School diploma. Degree in Hospitality preferred or equivalent experience.
Fluent in English; other languages considered an asset. Ability to clearly communicate with guests and hoteliers.
Computer literate with Microsoft Office or related software.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
Ability to frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and handling objects and equipment; push, pull, grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
