Director of Finance
As Director of Finance, you will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for the overall financial management, performance, and governance of the hotel. You will lead the finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, strategic insight, and operational excellence, while partnering closely with the Managing Director, ownership, and Oetker Hotels.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Providing strategic financial leadership to support business growth and profitability
Acting as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director and Executive Committee
Driving financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Acting as the main financial liaison between Ownership and Management Company
Delivering insight on performance, risks, and opportunities to inform decision-making
Evaluating investment opportunities, capital expenditure, and pricing strategies
Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual)
Overseeing cash flow management and working capital optimisation
Ensure robust internal controls and safeguard company assets
Maintaining strong relationships with auditors, ownership, and external stakeholders
Overseeing contract governance and ensure all agreements are appropriately authorised
Overseeing Purchasing and procurement processes
Leading, developing, and inspiring a high-performing finance team
Fostering a culture aligned with The Lanesborough and Oetker Hotels values
Key requirements:
Proven experience as a Finance Director / Head of Finance in a luxury hospitality environment
Strong commercial acumen with strategic thinking capability
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Highly analytical with strong problem-solving ability
Qualified accountant (preferred but not essential)
Advanced systems knowledge (e.g. Excel, Opera, InfoGenesis, Adaco)
