Missions :
The Night Auditor is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while managing front desk operations and nightly audit procedures during the overnight shift. This role ensures a safe, seamless, and efficient hotel operation overnight while supporting the hotel’s luxury service standards and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) expectations. The position is hourly and serves as the primary on-site hotel representative during nighttime hours.
Profile :
Serve as the primary point of contact for guests during overnight hours, providing courteous, professional, and personalized service.
Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints with discretion, efficiency, and a solutions-oriented approach.
Complete late check-ins, early check-outs, and VIP arrivals, ensuring guest preferences and special requests are met.
Ensure a smooth overnight guest experience by proactively identifying and resolving service issues.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and coordinate guest needs across departments as required.
Monitor front desk, lobby, and public areas to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and adherence to hotel standards.
Coordinate overnight activity with housekeeping, security, maintenance, and room service teams as needed.
Communicate effectively with department leaders regarding overnight incidents, guest issues, or operational concerns.
Maintain awareness of hotel occupancy, room status, and special arrivals or departures.
Monitor hotel security systems and perform routine overnight property checks.
Respond calmly and professionally to emergency situations, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and guest disturbances.
Follow all safety, security, and emergency protocols and promptly report incidents according to hotel procedures.
Work closely with on-duty security personnel to ensure a safe environment for guests and employees.
Perform nightly audit procedures, including reconciling daily transactions and balancing the front desk system.
Ensure accurate end-of-day processing, billing, and revenue reconciliation.
Prepare and distribute nightly audit reports for management and accounting teams.
Follow proper cash-handling procedures and comply with all financial and internal control policies.
What you bring:
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in Accounting, Hospitality, or Business preferred.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in hotel front office, accounting, or night audit roles.
Experience with Opera Cloud, Unifocus or similar hotel property management systems preferred.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and guest service abilities.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes.
Able to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking, sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
