Missions :
Overnight Cook works during nighttime hours to provide high-quality dining experiences for guests. The core duties are when the kitchen may be quieter, with fewer hoteliers but still require high standards of service and food quality, aligned with the hotel luxury standards
Profile :
Prepare and cook dishes for late night or early morning service focused on flavor, texture, and presentation.
Creating and finishing dishes from the regular menu, focusing on a specific late-night or breakfast menu.
Prepare the ingredients, organize the workstation and ensure it is stocked with the necessary items for the shift.
Prepare for day shifts or special orders. This could include chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, making sauces, or preparing breakfast items such as pancakes, eggs, and pastries.
Help with batch cooking, such as stocks, soups, or salads, and ensure that everything is stored properly for the morning service.
Execute recipes accurately, ensuring dishes meet the hotel’s luxury standards.
Assist in creating visually appealing plates, following plating guidelines and garnishing techniques as directed.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Keep the station clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards during and after service.
Ensure an efficient service, ensuring all ingredients and equipment are ready for high volume service.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen team.
Assist in ordering supplies and ensuring stock rotation to maintain freshness.
Support the broader culinary team during high-volume periods or special events.
Contribute creative ideas to enhance dessert menus or special offerings, such as afternoon tea or wedding cakes.
Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP and local codes.
Ensure proper handling, storage and labeling of ingredients to prevent cross contamination.
Work closely with front of the house hoteliers to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
Address guest feedback or complaints related to food quality in a professional manner, coordinating with management as needed.
Occasionally interact with guests during special events, maintaining a courteous and discreet service, polished and professional demeanor at all times.
Ensure that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and reflect a professional image for our guests.
Inspire an elevated level of creativity, personal commitment to service excellence and an emotional sense of gracious hospitality to enhance the restaurant’s luxury ambience.
What you bring :
Minimum 3 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in a luxury restaurant, hotel or catering environment.
Culinary degree or training certification. Certifications in food safety are a plus.
Proficiency with kitchen equipment and adherence to safety protocols.
Fluent in English; other languages considered an asset.
Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during a shift
Full Time position
Self-motivated, decisive, responsible, and driven to achieve goals.
Strong understanding of cooking techniques and the ability to execute dishes to a high standard, whether it is grilling, sautéing, frying, or preparing sauces.
Attention to detail to ensure the quality and presentation of the food.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis at the time of application. Visa sponsorship is not available for the position.
