Missions :
The uniqueness of The Vineta Hotel requires a Seamstress- Uniform Attendant with personality underscored by the highest degree of people acumen to handle all linen cleaning on site or in collaboration with the laundry service providers and mending and altering material items used in the hotel, uniforms, linen, and guest clothing
Profile :
Delight our guests and hoteliers at every interaction, with a genuinely warm presence, friendly, sincere nature, drive for service excellence.
Responsible for the cleaning, care and ironing of the linen entrusted by the guests, ensuring compliance with the company’s elevated expectations and Leading Quality Assurance standards (LQA), and that guest laundry is returned on time.
Execute tailoring jobs as per guest’s requests, altering material items; as well as timely repairs to linen, uniforms, and upholstery as needed.
Ensure cleanliness and quality of hotelier uniforms as well as other items such as dishcloths, aprons, lobby towels, mops, etc.
Ensure that hoteliers always have uniforms that fit and are in excellent condition and advises management of uniform requirements, as necessary.
Control the linen delivered by the different service providers (cleanliness, quantity, respect of deadlines, etc.).
Ensure the proper packaging of the guest's linen according to their preferences (on hangers, folded, etc.).
Handle guest items with the utmost care and attention to detail.
Manage the inventory and storage of all sewing supplies, linen and laundry detergents and cleaning materials for the laundry room according to the hotel’s policy.
Convert discarded linen into usable items for re-circulation supporting the Oetker’s sustainability commitment.
Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the laundry room and monitors the proper operation of equipment in collaboration with the Engineering department. Notify maintenance department of needed equipment maintenance or repairs.
Maintain good relations and communicates effectively with all departments within the hotel to create an atmosphere conducive to teamwork.
What you bring :
Minimum 1 year of experience in sewing, alterations or garment construction.
Expertise in operating sewing machines.
Understanding fabrics, garment construction techniques.
Detail oriented.
Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
Ability to frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and handling objects and equipment; push, pull, grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis at the time of application. Visa sponsorship is not available for the position.
