Missions :
The Restaurant Server is responsible for delivering exceptional and personalized service to our guests at the restaurant, ensuring a seamless and luxury dining experience.
Profile :
- Greet guests warmly and professionally, provide suggestions based on menu knowledge, and ensure a personal and memorable dining experience.
- Provide detailed descriptions of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine or beverage pairings.
- Anticipate guest needs, offer personalized recommendations, and accommodate special requests on dietary restrictions.
- Ensure prompt, courteous and discreet service, maintaining a polished and professional demeanor at all times.
- Monitor guests needs to proactively ensure satisfaction and address any concerns during meals.
- Upsell menu items such as high-margin drinks, food specials, or bottled water, in accordance with the restaurant's sales goals.
- Promote daily specials, seasonals menus, or signature dishes with enthusiasm and expertise.
- Process guest orders through the restaurant’s POS system, ensuring that billing is accurate, following the restaurant’s credit and cash handling policies, and that any special requests or preferences are noted.
- Collaborate closely with bartenders, kitchen hoteliers, and other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient service, fulfilling guests orders in a timely and accurate manner contributing to a personalized guest journey.
- Respond to guest feedback and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional, calm, and solution-oriented manner, and keep management informed of any issues, concerns or requests that require immediate attention and follow-up.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed as compliance with all legal regulations regarding alcohol service, including verifying guest IDs and adhering to responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Assist with side duties such as restocking service areas and maintaining dining room aesthetics.
- Uphold the hotel’s luxury brand values by providing personalized service and anticipating guests’ needs without being intrusive.
- Ensure that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and reflect a professional image for our guests.
What you bring :
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a similar capacity with an understanding of luxury hotel standards of service.
- College degree in Hospitality Management or Culinary preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Full-Time position.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Fluent in English; other languages considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passionate for food and beverage, strives to exceed expectations for service excellence with demonstrated understanding of international fine dining, wine, beverage and service standards commensurate of the leading hotels in the world.
- Ability to operate and maintain all departmental equipment, fully competent with POS systems.
- Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during a shift.
