Missions :
This role executes recipes with precision, contributes to menu preparation, and ensures consistency and quality in food production. Might be assigned to a specific station or perform a variety of duties as needed. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, and supporting the culinary team to deliver exceptional guest experiences in line with the hotel luxury standards.
Profile :
- Prepare and cook menu items for assigned stations with a focus on flavor, texture, and presentation.
- Execute recipes accurately, ensuring dishes meet the hotel’s luxury standards.
- Ensure that dishes are ready to serve at the right time, especially during busy periods.
- Assist in creating visually appealing plates, following plating guidelines and garnishing techniques as directed.
- Set up and maintain properly the assigned station, ensuring all ingredients, tools, and equipment are ready for service.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment (grills, ovens, fryers, or blenders) safely and efficiently.
- Keep the station clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards during and after service.
- Ensure an efficient service, ensuring all ingredients and equipment are ready for high volume service.
- Maintain an organized and efficient station, including all the ingredient preparation and the equipment set up.

- Oversee the daily operations of your kitchen section, including inventory and equipment maintenance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen team.
- Monitor and manage inventory for your station, including ingredients, supplies and portion control to minimize waste.
- Assist in ordering supplies and ensuring stock rotation to maintain freshness.
- Support the broader culinary team during high-volume periods or special events.
- Contribute creative ideas to enhance dessert menus or special offerings, such as afternoon tea or wedding cakes.
- Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP and local codes.
- Ensure proper handling, storage and labeling of ingredients to prevent cross contamination.
- Work closely with front of the house hoteliers to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
- Address guest feedback or complaints related to food quality in a professional manner, coordinating with management as needed.
- Occasionally interact with guests during special events, maintaining a courteous and discreet service, polished and professional demeanor at all times.
- Ensure that personal appearance and hygiene standards are an example for the team and reflect a professional image for our guests.
- Inspire an elevated level of creativity, personal commitment to service excellence and an emotional sense of gracious hospitality to enhance the restaurant’s luxury ambience.
What you bring :
- High school education, cooking school or culinary institute education or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 year culinary or related work experience.
- Full Time position
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Passionate about food trends and creativity – both locally and internationally; current on industry practices and provides creative input to food strategies.
- Self-motivated, decisive, responsible, and driven to achieve goals.
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques and the ability to execute dishes to a high standard, whether it is grilling, sautéing, frying, or preparing sauces.
- Attention to detail to ensure the quality and presentation of the food.
